NON VIOLENCE DAY

We usually celebrate Non Violence Day on 30th on January but in our school we celebrate on Friday 29th because there isn´t class on Saturday.
We make a lot of murals about peace.
The infants make a mural with pictures of themselves and they write their names under each picture.
The first year of Primary make a very beautiful mural: The peace step by step.
The second year of Primary make a mural where you can read with big letters: The peace join us, with a lot of coloured hands.
The third and fourth years make a mural with voice recording of themselves. The tittle of this mural is: Peace is inside of each one us. In the mural you can see the children siluetts drawn, and a lot of hands around the siluetts.
Fifth and sixth years make two murals .The first is about the life of Prize Nobel, for exemple: Gandhi, Rigoberta Menchu, Teresa of Calcuta…
They make another mural in English, where you can see children of diferents races with a banner asking for peace.
Each class explain their mural and finally we sing a song by Diego Torres titled Color esperanza.
We have a good time!
